i guess some readers will go "ewww... biar betul meikin ni... nk post pasal babi ke??"
if you feel you can't handle the word pig very well, leave this post.
not once, not twice... but it comes across my mind quite a few times...
in Malaysia, you have
Malays CANNOT eat pork
Chinese NOT ALLOWED to eat mutton
Indians CANNOT eat mutton
p/s : mutton = cow's meat
before going further, let me explain... some chinese can eat mutton while some can't. actually, it depends on which dewa/dewi one put on their altar. there are so many, each "in-charge" of different aspects in life : some gives prosperity, some health, some studies, some ensure that you can have good & "dengar cakap" child etc etc... and even some chinese do not know the fact that *not all chinese cannot eat mutton*. only those who prayed & has GUAN YIN MAMA on the altar can't eat mutton. (*note : Guan Yin Mama is the dewi that some chinese pray to for "dengar cakap" child... normally small kids are taken to the tokong and di-anak angkat to Guan Yin Mama) as for MY case, i CAN eat mutton =)
though i've thought of this for quite some time, but it never really strikes me till one day.
so what is the problem with PIG and COW?
the story is like this...
during our last meeting for 1Malaysia program (for the main organizing committee), we were served chicken and mutton, among other dishes. while most of us were happily munching and enjoying "daging masak kicap" a famous way of cooking mutton, an Indian sat beside us. *Unimas student, the Indian here is Deva, FK 3rd Year. should not be a unheard name right? most of us know him
i look at his plate while i was eating (yala, i am that kind of person who will be busy looking right, left, front, back, everywhere and analyse everything around me whenever i am free, include eating time) of course, as an Indian, he did not take any mutton with him. then i start thinking...
"Chinese are not allowed to eat pork in front of their malays friends. maybe i am wrong, maybe chinese are ALLOWED to do that, but we did not do it so openly. what i mean here is we will not eat pork in front of our Malay friends, pork are even prohibited in hostel areas. even if we are allowed to eat them in front of our Malay friends, we also will feel segan & guilty lah..."
"BUT... why are we eating mutton in front of our Indian friends without feeling a bit of guilt? if think logically : indians arent allowed to eat mutton because they believed cow is sacred/mulia... some even said that cows are jelmaan of indians' god. *correct me if i am wrong, just writing what my indian friends told me* and imagine : we are eating their GOD and most sacred animal in front of them"
mmm... get what i was thinking?
how would you feel if you see someone eating your God's meat? or someone eating the most sacred thing in your religion?
i don't know, forgive me for my naive thoughts and irrelevant thinking... just something that come across my mind at that moment...
maybe it's time i stop eating mutton in front of my indian friends...
malaysia... respect each and every religion, and their beliefs... and our you will find that malaysia is indeed unique and beautiful ^^

MALU~!!! thanks Abg Salihin for sending us to the airport... (he got his reward of a McD okay! hehe) just want to add here a bit, luckily i managed to see *HIM* before going back to KL... =)
thanks a lot to Abg Ezral for the lovely book (read it in the flight, but of course haven't finish reading lah. hehe) might be one of the reason why i suddenly cried that day... waaaaa... malu malu... hehe

Kuching --> Kuala Lumpur --> Nilai --> Kepong --> Nilai --> Cheras --> Nilai

experience living in other people's house (great treatment and everything... but so segan living in other people's house!) and some accidents here and there...
missing out friend's birthday bash, missing out the gathering, the fun, everything...

PERSAHABATAN
i no longer know how to measure the value of a friendship
people always say that when someone has a special partner a.k.a bf/gf, he/she can no longer logically and fairly divides his/her time
it is very true, no matter how much you tried to deny it. i myself did it, and i experienced it as well
no one is wrong here. it is just that your mind doesnt think like your heart, and your actions doesnt match your heart/mind
yes, you might say that "no. i am VERY sure i will NOT leave my friends. Friends are ALWAYS my top priority." note the word ALWAYS. but read as "i will TRY to make friends my top priority
and i REPEAT. NO ONE is wrong here
having a special partner is a commitment. you are committed to a relationship. you need to do something in order for the relationship to stay that way or grow. when you have commitments, u tend to ignore other things. and i felt it.
maybe from the beginning i should be that close, shouldnt get THAT close... and shouldnt depends on other people to much
after all, i am the one living my life, no one is going to be by my side forever, no one i can depend on forever to be by my side all the time
i guess it's time to realize that everything is just a short-lived dreams, ending.
**SLAPSS**
alright, time to get back to Environmental Chemistry notes
p/s : thanks to friends who are willing to be beside me, though not forever, but at least for now. for the time being, *you* will not see the "manja" and over-dependant mei kin anymore. it is time i learn to live and swallow everything myself, depends less on "you". thanks for being a good fren all these while.
*sad and feels like crying*

Perasaan
seriously upset and disappointed with certain people...
few months ago, my college had Perarakan Maulidur Rasul and won RM 1500 (1st prize). the president asked me to keep the money and to cut short the long story, not wanting to hold the money any longer, i decided to hold a makan-makan ceremony with the money (after discussion with some of them)
some might say that i am very busy body, but i am just doing what i can to help...
the real disappointment is when during the preparation, only a few of us came down... and those who came down are all my close friends... not saying ath negative, but then can think lah right, the ceremony is for them, but they did NOTHING, just come and EAT while the few of us have to do the job. we did not get paid or whatsoever, we are doing it for them, so why cant we just do it together? think about what they called *KENDURI*
anyhow, thanks to those who helped... (can be counted). Najwa, Aja, Mek, Ammar, Farid, and Afham... afham is like a brotherly figure to me, helping me alot eversince i knew him... from making the designs for brc open day program book till helping me hang banners around kuching area for my college open day. he was not involved with the dinner tonight, but he came down to help right after i smsed him. even when i invited him few times to come for the dinner tonight, he refused. that's him
everything went smoothly, including the last-minute-not-so-perfect celebration for my best friend, nori's bday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY~!!!!
the highlight? hehe. i guess was the sms i received...

Mekar bunga cantik dipandang,
Menjadi idaman setiap jejaka,
Kepada cik mei mei saya berhutang,
Terasa berat hendak membalasnya.
Damai hati berasa ceria,
Senang dipandang setiap orang,
Terima kasih hanya mampu dikata,
Kepada budi cik mei mei seorang.
talk about happiness of helping people... it comes from the appreciation you felt from people you helped... sometimes a simple thank you will do, though the thank you might not sound sincere at times...
simple things that are felt by heart...

mesti tertanya-tanya "kena? kena apa?" "kes? kes apa?"
biarlah rahsia...
sememangnya setiap agama itu sangat seronok dipelajari... *(n.n)*

Relax for a while... =)
"saya tak cukup baik untuk awak dan saya tak layak suka pada awak... selamat malam... =)"
itulah yang saya reply when tiba-tiba the person that i liked sms and ask me "betul ke kamu suka saya?"
haha. funny, don't know from where he heard such thing...
tapi, it's time for STUDIES. just finished my last batch of assignments, and hopefully can start studying by tomorrow...
ever heard that if we force ourselves to stop loving someone, the feeling will grow stronger instead?
so i made up my mind to put LOVE aside, and let the feelings fade away by itself...
for the time being, seeing his sms once a while is more than enough to keep me smiling... =)
sorry for neglecting "you" these few months... less sms, no updates, know you are worry about me... but we're both busy... hmmm....
that's when i always think back "no matter how far i go, no matter how many rounds i've been going, towards the end, it's still HIM who treats me the best, and are always there for me"
